This Bully Prevention Assembly Focuses on Supporting Each Other

Bullying is an ongoing problem in schools. How to handle bullying situations is important. So is building a foundation of respect and good behavior. What if there was an anti-bullying school assembly that focused on how to build a foundation of kindness and respect each day?

This is what the “Be Supportive” school assembly does. Using eight simple ‘magic’ words, this bully prevention assembly program gives your students a blueprint for how to be kind to each other.

I’m Bay Area school assembly presenter Brian Scott. As a parent, I know how devastating bullying can be to a child. No child deserves to be bullied. During this amazing 45-minute adventure, your students discover how to create ‘magic’ every day. “Being Supportive” takes many shapes. Even simply saying “Hello” to someone can transform their day.

Students also discover that it’s easy to tear someone down. Supporting others and building them up takes more effort but the results are worth it. But it’s not all just lecturing. To hold students’ attention, I use my ‘secret weapon:’ Magic!

Theatrical Set Design: Who says a school assembly can’t be a theatrical experience? I bring colorful banners and a backdrop to frame the entire show and focus attention. Your students will be impressed as soon as they walk into the assembly area!
Interactive Fun: Put 300-400 kids in one area for 45 minutes to just sit and watch something and see what happens. No thanks! I invite several students onstage to help make the magic happen. And I’ll involve the entire audience, too.
Laughter: Yes, bullying prevention is an important topic. But I keep the show upbeat with plenty of kid-friendly humor. Your students (and faculty!) will laugh early and often during “Be Supportive.”
