For students, Character Education is about doing the right thing and making smart choices. What if there was a Character Education school assembly program that gave your students a step-by-step roadmap for being a good person?
I’m Bay Area school assembly presenter Brian Scott. Each year, I perform hundreds of amazing shows at area schools, libraries, and other venues. My programs are interactive, fun, and full of important life lessons. But don’t just take me at my word!
Kristen Walls - Cipriani School
Many so-called Character Education assembly programs are abstract, making it hard for kids to relate to the messages. But in my assembly “Big Smile,” kids learn a simple acronym for making the right choices each day.
Using the word S.M.I.L.E., your students will learn simple ways to be confident, polite, and even persevere when the going gets tough. Here’s what S.M.I.L.E. covers:
S = Share
M = Make Eye contact
I = Introduce yourself
L = Listen
E = Exceed Expectations
These lessons are expanded upon and illustrated in easy ways for students to understand and remember. But here’s the important part.
I don’t just lecture to the kids. Want to know what happens when an assembly presenter just talks and talks and talks to a group of 300-500 kids?
Yup, you guessed it. Kids whispering to each other. Poking. Prodding. Rolling around on the floor. And definitely not paying attention to the assembly presenter.
That’s not how I roll. I bring a ‘secret weapon’ with me to keep your kiddos engaged and listening.
Unless your students are paying attention, there’s not much reason to even hold an assembly. But your students will hang on to my every word, guaranteed.
How can I make this bold promise? Easy. To maintain interest, my “Big Smile” uses eye-popping MAGIC throughout the show! But I don’t just perform a magic trick for no reason. Each segment is carefully structured so the magic illustrates an important concept or reinforces a key lesson.
Here is just a sample of what your students will see and experience:
Each effect includes maximum fun and audience interaction. I invite several students onstage to help during the show, too. Getting kids in on the action is one of the most effective ways to hold their attention!

The “Big Smile” assembly grans your students’ attention and holds it throughout the show. I do this by creating interest before the show even starts. Check out the techniques I use to turn this show into an ‘event:’
Before the show starts, your students will gasp in amazement when they walk into the assembly area. They’ll see colorful banners and a backdrop that sets the stage for the show.
I even provide my own sound system and mic at no extra charge. The kids can hear everything clearly throughout the show. And it’s one less thing for you to worry about!
Yup, music! I use music to create a ‘big show feel’ throughout the assembly and enhance certain routines.
You might think with all of these show enhancements and equipment that my “Big Smile” assembly is hard to host. Nope!
I have designed “Big Smile” to set up FAST. I arrive at your school about 45 minutes before the first show. The show itself sets up in 20-30 minutes. That’s fast! And I don’t need any carts or dollies from the custodians.
I come prepared with everything I need to put on an incredible educational experience for your students.
The next step is yours.
